Course Curriculum

This curriculum is designed to build your warehouse coordination skills step by step — from core warehouse fundamentals to inbound/outbound workflows, inventory control, productivity routines, and real-world exception handling. Module 01 - Introduction to Warehousing & the Warehouse Coordinator Role

• In this module, we explore the purpose of warehousing in the supply chain and where the warehouse fits in the end-to-end flow. You’ll get a clear picture of the Warehouse Coordinator role, how it connects inbound, inventory, outbound and transport. This foundation shows why strong coordination is essential for service, cost and productivity.

Module 02 - Inbound Logistics: Receiving, Inspection & Put-Away

• Here we focus on everything that happens when goods arrive at the warehouse. You’ll learn the key steps of receiving, quality inspection, documentation and put-away into storage locations. We also cover how to prevent bottlenecks at the dock and ensure inbound accuracy so the rest of the operation runs smoothly.

Module 03 - Inventory Control & Warehouse Accuracy

• This module is all about keeping inventory accurate and under control. We look at stock structures, cycle counting, adjustments and root-cause analysis of inventory discrepancies. You’ll learn how accurate data, clear processes and daily discipline reduce errors, urgent searches and customer problems.

Module 04 - Warehouse Operations & Outbound Logistics

• In this module, we walk through the core outbound activities: order picking, packing, staging and loading. You’ll see how orders are translated into warehouse tasks, how to prioritise and how to balance speed with accuracy. We also cover basic layout and flow principles to support efficient day-to-day operations.

Module 05 - Warehouse Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

• Safety is non-negotiable in any warehouse. Here we cover key safety principles, typical risks and how to build a culture of safe behaviour. You’ll also learn about compliance requirements, incident reporting and practical risk-reduction measures that Warehouse Coordinators can drive in their teams.

Module 06 - Technology, WMS & Digital Tools for Warehouse Coordination

• Modern warehouses run on systems. This module introduces Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), scanners, handheld devices and other digital tools. You’ll learn how tasks are managed in the system, what master data and transactions matter most, and how to use system information to make better daily decisions.

Module 07 - Performance Management, Communication & Leadership for Warehouse Coordinators

• In the final module, we focus on the human side of coordination. You’ll learn how to use KPIs and simple reports to manage performance, and how to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors and other functions. We also look at leadership behaviours for Warehouse Coordinators and how to grow your career in warehousing and logistics.
